Questions

Why CRIB5?

In care homes, NHS wards, and student accommodation, the combination of CRIB5 fire compliance and waterproof protection is normally treated as essential rather than optional. A CRIB5-only mattress fails in a moisture-incident scenario. A waterproof mattress without CRIB5 fails your fire audit. This mattress passes both. CRIB5 / Source 5 certification documentation is available on request for compliance records, local authority inspections, and procurement audits.

How long does delivery take? Made to order in Britain — please allow 2–3 weeks from order to delivery. Free UK mainland delivery direct to your door.

Does it require assembly? No — mattresses are delivered ready to use.

What sizes are available? Small Single (2'6"), Single (3'0"), Small Double (4'0"), Double (4'6"), and King (5'0").

What is a Neptune cover? Neptune is a non-woven fabric laminate providing a fluid-resistant waterproof barrier while remaining softer and more breathable than PVC alternatives — preferred in care homes and NHS settings where residents may sleep in direct contact with the mattress.

How does this compare to a standard CRIB5 contract mattress? The standard CRIB5 mattress meets fire compliance without waterproofing. This Neptune variant adds fluid resistance for environments where spills, accidents, or infection control are concerns — the complete specification for most care home and NHS procurement.
