CRIB5 (Source 5 / BS 7177 Medium Hazard) is the fire-resistance standard normally specified for mattresses supplied to UK commercial sleeping environments — hotels, guest houses, care homes, HMOs, student accommodation, and serviced apartments. Domestic mattresses are not made to this standard and are not suitable for commercial properties. The Superior Contract Mattress is made to CRIB5 specification, with documentation available on request for fire safety audits and procurement records. Properties specifying superior mattresses in main room categories consistently report better sleep-related guest review scores than those running standard-only specifications.
