Questions

Is this made from solid pine or pine-effect MDF? Solid pine throughout — genuine wood construction, not MDF with a pine-effect finish or veneer.
Do the knots in the wood affect strength? Knots are a natural feature of pine and do not compromise structural integrity. They are part of what gives rustic pine furniture its character.
What sizes are available? The frame is available in Double (4’6″, 135cm) and King (5’0″, 150cm).
Can this be painted or waxed? Yes — solid pine takes paint, wax, and oil finishes well. Sand lightly first. This allows the frame to be finished in any colour or sheen to match your room.
What mattresses are compatible? All mattress types — the slatted base works with sprung, memory foam, latex, and hybrid mattresses.
How long does delivery take? Free UK mainland delivery, typically within 3 working days of dispatch.

The Farmhouse Aesthetic

Rustic farmhouse décor has become one of the most enduring interior styles in UK homes — a reaction to the sleek uniformity of flat-pack furniture, it celebrates natural materials, imperfection, and the visible evidence of craft. A solid pine bed frame in this style pairs naturally with linen bedding, exposed brick, antique mirrors, and aged metal hardware. It is the kind of bedroom that feels like it has always been there.
