Questions

Why CRIB5?

CRIB5 (Source 5 / BS 7177 Medium Hazard) is the fire-resistance standard normally specified for mattresses in UK commercial sleeping environments — hotels, care homes, HMOs, and student accommodation. The Poppynep is made to full CRIB5 specification, with documentation available on request for local authority fire safety inspections, CQC audits, and FM procurement records. Standard domestic mattresses are not CRIB5 compliant and are not suitable for commercial settings. The Poppy range allows hotels and care groups to standardise specifications across room categories while maintaining a single supplier relationship.

How long does delivery take? Free UK mainland delivery direct to your door. Made to order in Britain — please allow 2–3 weeks from order to delivery.

Does it require assembly? No assembly required — delivered as a complete mattress, ready to use.

What sizes are available? Small Single (2'6"), Single (3'0"), Small Double (4'0"), Double (4'6"), and King (5'0").

How do I care for the Neptune cover? Spot clean with mild detergent. Wipe with appropriate disinfectant for infection control between occupancies. Do not machine wash or immerse the mattress.

How does the Poppynep differ from the standard Poppy mattress? The Poppynep adds a Neptune non-woven waterproof cover to the standard Poppy specification — providing moisture and fluid protection while maintaining the same CRIB5 fire compliance and construction. Choose Poppynep for rooms where waterproofing is required; choose the standard Poppy for rooms where waterproofing is not a priority.
