Questions
- Is the bunk bed safe? Yes — the upper berth has safety guard rails and ladder access. The top bunk is recommended for children aged 6 and over in line with UK guidance.
- What mattresses are needed? Each berth takes a standard UK single mattress (90cm × 190cm). Use mattresses up to 16cm depth on the upper berth to keep guard rails effective.
- Can the bunk bed be separated into two single beds? Please check product specifications — not all bunk bed designs are convertible. Contact us to confirm before purchase if this is important to you.
- Can natural pine be painted? Yes — pine takes paint well with light sanding. This allows the frame to be refinished or recoloured as décor tastes change.
- Is this suitable for a holiday let? Yes — pine bunk beds photograph well and provide practical sleeping for multiple guests in a single room.
- How long does delivery take? Free UK mainland delivery, typically within 3 working days of dispatch.
More details
Natural Pine Character
Natural pine has a warmth that painted bunk beds and metal frames cannot match. The grain varies between pieces, meaning each bed has its own character. Pine darkens and deepens with age — what starts as a pale, fresh-cut tone gradually warms to a honey amber over years of use, becoming more attractive rather than less. Solid pine can also be sanded and refinished, giving the frame a second life rather than ending in landfill.
